Dove Cream Oil Body Wash, Cherry Blossom & Almond Scent

My sample bottle came free in a package when I bought one of Dove's stick deodorants. The small bottle is the same as the larger ones with the exception of the screw cap instead of a snap lid.

The packaging comes in an upside down plastic bottle that is easily squeezed. But it's a cream not a gel liquid. So at least the plastic container is not too stiff to push out the product. The fact that it's cream product makes it stay up in the container without seeping down slowly down the bottle and get you that goop in the lid.

It's not a gel, not an oil, it's a cream like what the label says. The consistency is that of a moisturizer like ponds or olay. This body wash is a little difficult to work on my loofa. I can't seem to find the right combination of water and the product. Just a little too much of water dissipates the product completely from my sponge(s). Too little water makes it feel like a lotion instead of lathering up. I use a nylon mesh bath sponge as well and it's slightly easier to work a lather on that. It's even more difficult to work a lather with just my hands.

What I have is the Cherry Blossom & Almond Scent. I love love just love the smell. The almond smell is very very faint but enough to mute the strong cherry blossom scent. The smell or scent though does not last on my skin. It only two or three hours after my shower.

It's not the most moisturing dove product I've come across. It's a body wash that feels like I've used dial soap especially on my shins (I think I'm especially dry there). From the ad, it's at least not oily! What I can say is that I feel squeaky clean and that lasts through the entire day. I live in a tropical humid environment and it helps to feel extra clean and almost dry on my(the) skin.

This is not a body wash I will repurchase just because it's hard to lather up and it's almost drying, mind you my skin is not the dry type. Too bad because I really love the scent.
