The Face Shop Brightening Rice Water Lip and Eye Makeup Remover

I am not paid by The Face Shop to review their products on my blog, I purchased the products i review from the face shop with my own money.

I was looking for a makeup remover to replace my revlon (absolute c line) mineral oil based one. the face shop is in almost every mall here so i gave theirs a shot.

it's a two phase(d) kind that you have to shake before use, it claims to brighten and have rice water. it also has mineral oil which, let's face it, removes even revlon's toughest colorstay makeup from even the driest of faces.

i love the the packaging, it's a plastic bottle that i can squeeze a bit and has a small opening that lets the product out in a controlled manner. the plastic container isn't opaque so i can still see if i have some product left.

the smell is very light and reminds me a little bit of baby powder. the product itself is very light on my skin but can remove a double whammy of my bobbi brown long wear gel liner and my shiseido mascara base under my max factor 2000 calorie mascara. it also removes my revlon colorstay with softplex for combination oily with SPF 6 (yeah, that foundation that i can swim in if i went swimming).

it does the job, doesn't leave my face greasy, it isn't at all pricey a definite alternative to maybelline's eye and lip makeup remover.

oh in addition, i've gone thru half of the bottle already and i haven't broken out. it also does not sting when i soak my lashes in the cotton with the solution. and it really does take a strong base like shiseido's mascara base off my lashes. hope this helps ladies ^__^

Overall Rating (1 = worst, 5 = best) = 4

Price (1 = dirt cheap, 5 = expensive) = 2

Would I buy this product again? Yes, I would

I saw this before too & was wondering if this is a good make-up remover.

i read your post about the etude house remover too. I'm not really a fan of their eye make-up remover though...too oily!

I love the L'oreal Dermo Expertise Eye & Lip Make-up remover.. works just like Lancome Bi-Facil!

LOL on the etude house lip and eye [makeup] remover...i wonder if finally they noticed that only says lip and eye and at the bottom of the bottle...remover. but it beats maybelline's lip and eye makeup remover by price. hehehe l'oreal too pricy here for a drugstore brand, me thinks ^_~
re oily, this one fr TFS isn't oily ^_^
