My experience:

This Seaweed Mattifying day cream from the Body Shop is intended for oily and acne proned skin. My skin is gets oily and shiny at my t-zone area so I gave it a go and bought it.

Apart from the fact that it's on the expensive side even without spf, and that I don't find the smell too wonderful either, I actually like it. The cream comes in a 50ml or 1.7oz simple tub.

I have no real problem with it not having spf, most of face powders and foundations have spf anyway.

I can put this on after I clean my face. After the cream has dried and absorbed, then I can put on a pore minimizer or straight on to foundation, the make up still sticks to your face so the cream doesn't make your make up slide off. The cream dries easily on my face as well. It slides smoothly bordering on slimey but it's ok by me. It's not tinted like other moisturizers so it doesn't affect my foundation color which I like and is helpful if you have picture moments.

I used to get real shiny right away but now I don't use as much oil blotting paper, so it works. I only need to blot my face with the oil absorbing paper every few hours as opposed to every 30minutes or less like I used to, it's effective on me. EDIT since then: it's effective on me for at least 2 to 3 hours. I guess i am that oily esp during the summer humid months.

packaging, better had it been in a container with a pump.
no spf considering it's a day cream
scent: not so great, but tolerable
effect: 2 to 3 hours on me
**had to give up on all seaweed line fr the body shop after i broke out** last summer, broke out not because of their prices but zits as in pimples which hardly ever happens to me. hohum, on to less expensive and more effective brands and lines
