REVIEW of my not so Korean 2010 - Lush Cosmetics

thanks to a beauty blogger / youtube guru and a very good acquaintance of mine, tknokitten, i got into Lush Cosmetics.  so i'm very glad that Lush Cosmetics is available here in the Philippines.

One of the few things i tried at Lush is their Ultra bland.  i love the citrus scent of this facial cleanser.  it's very emollient and very effective on my oily to combination skin in removing long wearing makeup from my face.  it also didn't break me out.  it's very moisturizing.

Three products in the picture.  my lush american cream, my jumping juniper lavendar shampoo bar, or what's left of it, and my coalface facial cleanser / scrub.
description for these products can be found on their website.
i like to experiment and try out new products from lush.  and see, they have small sizes of their items and in the Philippines the minimum weight of a product you can purchase at their store is 100g.

  1. The coalface facial cleanser/scrub is indeed effective in cleaning my face from excess oil and scrubs it enough that it gives me a good exfoliation.  the edges can get a little too sharp especially if you chop up the bar in cubes like i had mine chopped up.  if i remember to do so, i generally use this at least once a week.  exfoliation makes applying makeup way easier.  it also helps you in the long run to get the best out of your skin care for better absorption because there will hardly be any top layer of your deadest skin cell to hinder the absorption of whatever cream your applying to your face.
  2. the jumping juniper lavender shampoo bar.  i was looking for a ANYTHING that will keep me from having stringy [grimy] hair for more than just a day.  i live in a humid tropical country so i needed to find a shampoo that will clean my scalp and hair but will keep me from washing my hair on a daily basis.  the jumping juniper shampoo bar did just that.  it wasn't too drying either nor did it cause my scalp to flake.  and instead of either having to wash my hair daily, i am able to wash [without too much stringy-ness] at least every other day.  if it isn't too humid i can still get away with washing my hair on the third day.  unfortunately, it caused my hair to fall out.  [meaning i notice less hair falling out with each wash when i don't use this shampoo bar]
  3. Among the four i have on this blog post, the item i will continue to purchase would be my american cream conditioner.  not only is this a very effective conditioner the vanilla scent LASTS.  it lasts so long on my hair that it lasts even after i was my hair again [meaning after another washing i can still smell traces of it about 48-72 hours after the last time i've used it].  so yeah, for the scent alone i'm willing to pay extra and go out of my way to go to the three branches of lush we have in Manila for a conditioner.
Lush branches that i know of are in Rustan's in Ortigas, and two branches in Makati, Serendra and Glorieta 4.
