REVIEW: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Sheer Glowing Skin

Phew! I'm back after what felt like foooorevah. super toxic at work, i just merely hope it was worth the aggravation. and hmmmm the 14 hour a day work days? yeah baby that's more than half a day for the last few days of our version of a fiscal quarter.
woah i missed blogging!  yeah yeah it's only been a few days since my last post, but, it sure felt like a very long time to me LOL.   and see, the finished pic i used below was taken last week pa, when i reviewed a my tony moly cheek stain.
yep this is the base/foundation/sun block i used that day and the succeeding days that followed til i finished off this lovely tube.  look at it!  it's super cute and you can twine it to your phone! bwahaha, ah these  people, don't they just think up of the cutest things?
question:  just how many bb creams does at-eh marge go through? clearly, plenteeeeee! hehehe
Photobucket
see, it's sealed with the awesome goodness...can you already tell this is gonna be a great review of this product?
Photobucket
ingredient list.  Look ma! [and at-eh!] it's in english ;-)
Photobucket
looks like an ordinary foundation.  on the watery side but still creamy thick enough to say that it's still a bb cream.
Photobucket
blends right in, hmmm since it was a sample give away, i can't say if it's shade 2 ooops it does say it's number 2 in the card product insert thingy! LOL.   homaygahd lamang, my t-shirt is the same color as the wall, but howelkeribelz.
Photobucket
yeshH, tayo'y uminom ng suka sa umaga :P a shot of this applied on my skin and blended out, no flash
Photobucket
with flash, hmmmm slightly reflective since my face is now fairer than my neck.  never thought that would happen evaaah except maybe with the face shop's hydrosplash bb cream.  maybe this is what they meant by glowing? LOL but, seriously, there are no sparklies in this bb cream.
Photobucket
it's this pic again, LOL, yep, looks great without the flash,
Photobucket
and with the flash, still looks quite fair on me after i've set it with my revlon colorstay mineral aqua.  but i guess(?) i can pull it off.
this bb cream lasted on my face ha.  and i only blotted off the oilies about 2x a day.  since my foundation routine now consists of a bb cream and my revlon colorstay mineral aqua, i hardly need any touch ups, all i do is blot the oils away ;-)
there was too little of the sample product to know if i can become even more fair since it has whitening properties and therefore i can't write about its anti wrinkle effectiveness either.  but here are my few points on this product:
Likes:

  • i like this way better than their total age repair wrinkle reduce royal bb cream
  • the scent, it's like lavenderey [bwahahaha well the product insert does say lavender]  kinda baby powder scent unlike the total age repair that smelled like rubber.
  • very smooth and creamy to apply and easy to blend
  • lasts all day
  • i think this is the one for oily skin, since it has a matte finish at least on me it does, so i like the matte finish, it isn't too matte but sorry folks not glowy which for is a plus LOL
  • the price for a big tube with pump it's less than PhP700 for 60g!
  • for my sample size hehehe i like the phone charm dongle - stretchy thingy
  • it has an spf of 30 and pa of ++
  • no break outs ;-) no millia, no other funky stuff :P

Dislikes:

  • it would difficult to use this bb cream in occasions where flash photography will be used =(
Do i recommend this? : yep, it's not too pricey, but has the usual promises of bb creams, the foundation, the base, the sun block. just don't use this for santa cruzan or fiesta since digicam flashes are really harsh, it will look nice on you in real life but toshio fr the grudge will appear on your pic instead of your pretty face.
araseo?

has anyone else tried this? ang bango noh?

ey Sugar-beh ☺♥ hehehe yeah Etude house is love.
though currently my go to bb cream is tony moly's expert triple bb bec of the spf 45 and pa +++ but not being reflective, at least there is this other option since right now tony moly has yet to set up shop elsewhere and have limited products for now [at sm fairview]

This is a really fun review! Hahaha I've tried the sample of EH's BB cream (I'm not sure which, though). It's a bit too light for my skin tone :/ Nice review! :D

ey Aya ☺♥ thanks. awww that's too bad about their bb creams on you, i'm sure they'll come out with newer bb creams, i just dropped by the face shop kanina, huwaow ang dami na talaga and more affordable na

At-eh Marge! hehe. I've always wondered about it but only remembered to mention it now... How exactly do you gauge the staying power of bb cream or foundation on your face? The only way I know that I still have bb cream on mine is when I wipe my face at the end of the day and still see goop on the cotton pad. x__X Oh fail.

(Huwah, wasn't able to attend Wholly Trek day... were you there though ^^)

Marge said...

LOL @Chiqui! miss you beh, you're absolutely right, if you can still wipe off some goop off you're face then that's it. what helps me gauge is the blotting sheets i use. when i don't get too oily then i don't move the foundation or bb cream around my face when i blot off my excess oils ;-)☺♥
wasn't able to attend wholly trek day either, it was theBenj's mom's internment at that time =(

howmuch is this tube? :) fantastic review btw!:)

Marge said...

ey there, it's PhP728 for the full sized tube and they have a 3rd shade so it's not just for the fair and very fair ;-)

oh oh the veiling powder, i wanna try that so much! i'll get it later. i'm super addicted to this tangerine line. but their bb creams are par to other brands, don't let the low prices fool yah ;-) etude house is just the same as other beauty houses, some products are so so some products are really good so hiyang-ngan din ;-)
veiling powder is just a setting powder, ginaya lang somewhat yung name ng bare minerals or bare escentual's mineral veil. i think elf has something similar, too ☺♥ i'll let you know...or the product review will be on here, soon. thanks for the follow ;-)

ahhh ganoon po ba? sounds good. i will get it then tomorrow and will try to let you know my take of it ..gusto ko lang po kasi to know if it can control my oiliness ...
pero young bb cream does seem like a good deal, so definite yun (= thank you po ssso much for all the reviews you have on here

excited to have this product (
precious mineral bb cream #2) that i went to the nearest EH store here in south just to have this!!

but I got few breakouts when i used it for 3 days, booom pimples appeared! T_T
di to humiyang sakin, how sad.ang ganda pa man din sana when applied.
i'm planning to sell it, for those interested let me know.3 pumps less pa lng to. last march 24 ko binili.

hi there. so long as you're sure that it isn't your time of the month and that you remove this thoroughly from your face with makeup remover at the end of the day then this may very well be the cause of your breakout and for that i am sorry that this product didn't work out for you.
for any product that didn't work out for me i usually give it to my mom since we have opposite types of skin. maybe you have siblings or cousins you can give this to ;-)

May I say that I'm already loving your blog and immediately followed it.. ;)

Marge said...

i like the coverage of etude house bb creams, they are affordable and are readily available in the philippines (in Manila).
they also have a warmer deeper shade now for this bb cream.
you're welcome

It looks good on you! For photography don't use flash, set your dslr to AV. Kaya lang kailangan hindi pasmado kukuha. Please swing by my page too, thank you! http://www.travel-on-a-shoe-string.blogspot.com/

ah most of the kids that follow my blog only have point and shoot cams eh so so i always mention that floating white head aspect of facial products when it comes to pic taking.
yep, so if you have the shutter speed set to 1s then then we can just take advantage of the ambient light. which is really hard talaga specially if the kids only have a point and shoot cam with no manual settings or, there'll be no ambient lighting or not much of it like at proms or debut for the kids ;-)

I haven't tried any Etude House BB creams yet. They're next on my list. I'm pretty pale, so I wonder if I'd still look washed out in photographs.

Marge said...

the bbdation does not have a washed out effect the sun bb though does.
