REVIEW: Holika Holika Pore Mousse Starter - warning pic heavy LOL

Photobucket
mousse?  yes, mousse.  shu uemura has uv something protect in mousse form, too.

pump out the product upside down

in fairness having the cam that close on anything unless idk, silk hehehe, will naturally show flaws.  hehehe i am after all pushing 36, huhuhu, and with normal to oily skin, naturally i'll have big pores that are obvious up close. sorry for the lighting, no cloud was hiding the sun when i took this pic

after applying my revlon colorstay aqua in fair/light and blush and the works [oh ha putol ang ulo, magka-crop lang eh LOL]

Thoughts:
Photobucket
yep, they were my first thoughts in buying holika holika from my suki Charmaine of Kkochipida bwahahaha. You're Beautiful [He's Beautiful] is the second Korean drama i ever finished. so naturally i'm in love with Etude House because of their endorsers JGS and PSH and the 'unrequited' yep the guy that didn't get the girl aka the towel guy, Young-hwa, is in CNBlue and is the lead singer of this pop-rock quartet.  Clearly when Holika Holika launched, I just had to get some of their products, right? Obviously! LOL
This pore cover mousse cover was a curious thing to me, but since it promised pore coverage it was something i had to have.
Likes:
  • the pump - it isn't like my finesse strong hold hahaha from days gone by - the nozzle of the pump is more like a pump you'd see on a guys shaving foam/cream.
  • the scent OMG the scent is so lovely, it really does smell like strawberries and cream, but the scent isn't strong at all, just a mild scent wafting while you blend out the product on your fez.  i use my elf studio flat top powder brush to blend this on my face, and now the brush smells so nice because of this.
  • very smooth and soothing to apply since it's mousse-foam thing, it's cool to apply.
  • very soft, smooth, satin to matte looking finish.  seemingly airbrushed finished.
  • helps my foundation last even longer if that's even possible [LOL since i use colorstay]
  • price is reasonable on  Charmaine of Kkochipida's site and i got it at a launch/introductory price which made it even more affordable considering it's an imported item.
  • not reflective when i took a pic of myself with the flash turned on.
Dislikes:
  • currently not locally available, thank the gods for online stores like Charmaine of Kkochipida's
  • no violent reactions from my skin so far
  • no spf so i had to apply my old reliable neutrogena ultra sheer waterlight lotion first then this then my foundation. so there's an extra step, rather than use a bb cream with spf that acts as a base then foundation.
Will I repurchase?:  probably not, i don't like the extra step, but if you're oc about have a separate layer of sun screen anyway then by all means this is a product that does what it says.

Do I recommend:  for people who want to take the extra step in hiding their pores and who want to make their foundation last even longer.

as with tony moly [before TM launched in Mnl] buti pa sa Bangkok may holika holika na, hahaha off the wall bitter comment :P

ey there, Alice, yeah it's a pretty decent brand, their range isn't as vast as say tony moly or etude house but they're getting there. so maybe when they're big enough they'll branch out to manila as well.
you're welcome and thanks as well for the comment and the view ;-)
