Random Post: the Santa Grand Hotel at Bugis - missing Sg - warning pic heavy

it's been a week now, and even without having seen some lovely Koreans at the Korean Music Wave, i'm still hung over with my previous weekend with theBenj at Singapore.  I just wanted to share the sweet, quaint little hotel we stayed at.  the santa grand hotel at bugis.  we saw the other santa grand at little india, but it was at the bugis one that we stayed at since it was a few minutes by cab to the indoor stadium.
the hotel is also walking distance to the bugis mrt station.  awww their mrt, i wouldn't mind riding that mrt everyday to work or anywhere in the city, it's clean, efficient, wide, and doesn't stink.
a view of the hotel's front at night.
la lang, i didn't discover that my digicam's shutter speed could be altered down to 1second (and as fast as 1/250) hehehe, i always have it on iA (intelligent auto).
i didn't know my digicam could do this til this visit LOL ako na ang hindi nagbabasa ng manual :P

this is the rear of the hotel, so anyone with luggage that requires wheels can still go up the hotel.
they've a little veranda, la lang, ang cute only!

the interior of the lobby.
the concierge area.
and for visitors
and the menu, kinda pricey since it's a hotel and all so it's always better to just eat out ;-)
the dining area.
our stay gave us free buffet breakfast.
there's even an internet/computer area at the lobby.
but there's free wifi so theBenj got to browse and i got to twit either on my phone or his ipad.
it's not the biggest of rooms unlike the room we stayed in at the sofitel, but then, haler, sofitel iyon.
but apart from the sofitel i'd have to say the bed here at santa grand is just as soft as sofitel's.  i still can't get over the fact how hard the beds are at the crowne plaza in ortigas and at the ramada in bkk.
we got the usual stuff.  the ref is empty since it was a budget stay.  but we did tote the complimentary water around the city so at least we didn't have to buy water around the city (bottle water there is PhP60 =( at 7/11).
and the loo, that has a gravity shower.  they have a body and hair shampoo that actually works.
each room comes with a safe, but our stay didn't provide us with robes just the towels.
yo! the terrace!

and the swimming area.  ang cute!
the surrounding buildings.  when the cabbies didn't know where our hotel was, we'd just say that it's along victoria street and this huge raffles hospital
we were near the mosque as the next street is arab street.
i loved the buildings here.
a better view of the mosque
a shot from Zamzam resto yet another reason why i miss singapore
well in fairness, they, too, have rodents, the flying kind.  LOL
i wanted to go back there soon as we got into the plane, LOL
dear Singapore, hope to see you soon! and yep, it's the santa grand we'd be staying at again, i mean 12k for 2nights and 3days? walking distance to the bugis station? a mall and a few minutes away from the indoor stadium? what's not to like? and yep, we just took the mrt back to Changi, it's that's easy over there.
