REVIEW: KANEBO KATE LIQUID MINERAL FOUNDATION SPF20

i got this during the 'great' singapore sale at one of their watson's.  it wasn't on sale per se but this is one of the items i got for the buy 2 get 1 free.
this is now available in SM Malls and where kate / kanebo is, like Landmark.  It's also 25 grams like the Kanebo Kate Makeup Base BB UV SPF31 PA++
similar packaging and delivery 'mechanism'
creamier than the Kanebo Kate Makeup Base BB UV SPF31 PA++
and has way more coverage than the Kanebo Kate Makeup Base BB
awww so fresh and clean!
with flash, not much flash considering it has SPF20 i'm OC-B (1st Color)
set with my revlon colorstay mineral aqua FINISHING powder, pic below has no flash on.
pic below has the flash on.
overall i like this foundation, i like it a lot.  it's like the matte version of my revlon photoready in 03 shell.
it doesn't last all day though =( at most 6 hours and i begin to see previously well covered pores again and some of the previously well covered gray scars from healed pimples.  how funny naman, the photoready actually lasts longer than this matte finish foundation?!?  therefore, it most likely is mineral foundation LMAO, only in liquid form, only ellana mineral's foundation ever lasted a full day me hahaha.

Likes:

  • this is a great travel buddy for it's size and packaging
  • hygienic spout, like my revlon age defying concealer
  • coverage, medium to buildable coverage
  • matte finish, you have room to add your highlights by other means
  • did not break me out, no new black/white heads or millia
  • very easy to blend quite creamy, does not dry too quickly like the revlon colorstay liquid foundation
  • shade match is very good.  has just the right amount of yellow and i don't look sallow when the flash is turned on the way i look sallow with the revlon colorstay liquid foundation
  • does not oxidize on me
  • no weird scent
  • does not cake up
  • i only get oily on my nose and the inner sides of my cheeks near the nose, the rest of my t-zone remain almost oil free.
  • already available at our local malls where Kate/Kanebo counters are found.
  • spf20 i guess that's good enough for indoors
Dislikes
  • it's a japanese product,SG$24=PhP840.  this is PhP900 at the Kate/Kanebo counters.  this arrived this month, like this September lang.  so for 25grams for that price?
  • doesn't last too long on my face, the photoready lasts even longer than this.

Overall it's a pretty good mineral foundation with the ease of application and travel-ability of liquid foundation.  it's useful for women who travel a lot since it's small and can fit in their travel kit.  it's not long nor is it bulky.
Do i recommend this:  if you can afford it then why not but for 25 grams, it's not that budget friendly, it just seemed fair at the time since i was getting an item for free with this purchase.
Will I repurchase:  no, i'll move on to another japanese foundation...any recommendations? LOL Shiseido right?
