REVIEW: ETUDE HOUSE COLOR ME NUDE LIP CONCEALER

like i mentioned in my most recent vid, i'm all about lips recently and i went nuts over lippies thanks to cover girl's new line the lip perfection and the nyx matte lippies.  but i have pigmented lips and i oxidize the products i apply on my face, which now includes my lips.  i recently i also purchased and reviewed the etude house vip girl lipstick base.  i know put the lipstick base then the concealer. hehehe typo LOL can you see it?

Description4.5g Natural looking concealment of lip blemishes hopds makeup for long lasting lip makeup expression.

so it's like any stick concealer.  looks like a fair to light skin tone.
it's really very creamy and not chunky at all. very easy to blend out and quite dimethiconey feeling, matte sorta but really smooth.
it almost covered my green vein.  so it has medium to buildable coverage.
corpse lips.  seeeee Jes? i don't have smooth lips.  it's all smoke and mirrors, well in this case, makeup (lip products) LOL.
here's a pic of me wearing Nyx's soft matte lip cream in Milan, a shade that's better worn on top of the concealer to reveal its true color
and my cover girl lip perfection in fairy tale, another lip shade that in my opinion requires a lipstick base and concealer if you want the true color to show up on your lips instead of a dark orangey rust that fairy tale can be on my lips specially after oxidation.
why do i need both?
actually in my opinion i don't i just prefer something to fill in those vertical lines.  so both serve that purpose and amplify each other's effect.  but if you don't have lines like i do.  if you don't have deep lines like have you can choose one or the other, either the lipstick base or this concealer.  if you have pigmented lips, but not too many deep lines, then just go for the concealer.
Likes:

  • convenient creamy stick formula and packaging
  • serious coverage, can cover even dark veins
  • has not caused dryness or chapping
  • easy to blend out
  • no weird tastes
  • no weird scents
  • makes my lipsticks last, even the not so great lipsticks last longer on my lips with the concealer or base on
  • oxidation of the lip stick shade is decreased significantly
  • the true shade of the lipstick is brought out.
  • it's PHP228 for 4.5g
Dislike:
  • only one shade but hmmm is that really a bad thing? we DO wanna bring out the color of your lipstick shade right?
Do i recommend this? yep i definitely do.  hahaha apart from putting my kikaytrekkie watermark i don't have the photoshop skill to make my lips look smooth, so a filler this concealer and the lipstick base have become.  i also recommend this to women who smoke and have nicotine darkness on their lips that way any lipstick you apply won't just appear dark on your lips.  i also recommend this to women or woMen who have birth marks or moles right on the lips.
Will i repurchase, most likely, yes.

do you need to re apply the concealer often or not much? like after eating a meal or drinking something..

hi. i don't anymore since there is still some lipstick left so i just reapply lipstick on top of it. if i do clean my mouth or lips then yes, i do reapply the concealer ;-)
