EOTW: Skin Food Coffee Cream Color Fit Shadow #2

Do you remember when i was so into Skin Food?  Yep almost around the time when i started.  in fact my review on the Skin foo peach sake bb cream is one of my most read here on my blog and one of my most viewed on my channel.
Like I keep saying imma gonna go back and stick to what i know and love, Asian I am.  thank heaven's that Skin Food still remembers my number and still send me sms' when they have sales.  so i got this at almost half off.  still it was around PhP900  but i WANTED that dark teal looking shade.
this, my friends, is the coffee creamy color fit shadow quad in #2
see there's a diagram. so a is the pearly white b is the pink c is the gray and d is the darkest shade the dark teal looking shade.
swatchy time.  it's the light that made the gray sorta taupe almost brown looking on my arm.  but seriously on top of the pink, it's gray.
they can be as opaque or as sheer as i want them to be.  the color pay off is just way better with eye primer underneath.
wearable blue gray smokey. with matchy matchy lips with the blouse
Face Products used:
Laneige BB Cream Natural #2
Revlon Colorstay Mineral Aqua Foundation
Revlon Age Defying Concealer
Cheeks - Nars Angelika
                Ellana Kitten
Lips - Laneige Snow Moisture in Honey Pink

  • the packaging.  it's so cute and honestly quite sturdy.  the top is clear so you see what you have without having to open it
  • pigmentation - quite pigmented with or without primer.
  • the shades EXCEPT FOR THE PINK -  the teal actually comes out as a dark teal but the pink is salmony-peach but comes out as a cool baby or pastel pink.  which i don't like.  i gravitate towards pink shades like the shade of blouse i'm wearing.
  • no fall out
  • no creasing
  • no fading
  • no reaction from the skin on my eyes like reddening, welts, allergies, millia etc
  • doesn't hurt my eyes when i accidentally apply shadows on my waterline.
  • no weird scents
  • the price tag at least here in the Philippines, this quad is about 900 bucks, with the 40+ percent discount already applied, so srp in Manila for this quad is around 1400? sorry math, kaya nga PT ang pre med ko eh walang math :P hahaha
  • the pink, the color pay off is not what i expected, it looks salmony-peach pink but applies as a cool pastel pink
  • a tad powdery compared to the below brands
  • a the darkest teal shade is tad chalky compared to the below brands
Versus my other pallets:
Majolica Majorca - those are still way creamier to apply with truer shades
Lunasol - much creamier to apply and though that has a sort of cool pink it applies warm (go figure)
Stila - this skin food pallet is actually better than my stila LOL except for the kitten shade

The Verdict:
do i recommend? sure, it performs pretty solidly, the price tag may turn you off though
will i repurchase? probably not, i'll go back to their metal pill box looking shadow trio and try them out.  hahaha i like em shimmers ;-)
