yes, they really spelled it as f-r-e-s-h-N-e-r
hoooray! i found a replacement for one of my all time favorite toners. i think the competition who used to bottle their pore clear toner has updated their formula and changed the name to some doctor ac something. but i shall always remember this:
so i had to try out the sample first. and i am really glad i did. it really is refreshing, very very very gentle, but still is able to clean off any residue from my soap or makeup.and who wouldn't get a kick out of the the line below??
'i'm your wonder woman for your pore'???
bwahahahah, whatever this thing is, it's gentle yet it works. doesn't leave any greasy after feel but isn't drying or doesn't have a stinging feel. but let's break it down, shall we?
1.) well, i don't carry around me litmus paper so i can't test that, besides litmus paper isn't cheap
2.) refines skin tone : according to this:
Definition of REFINE
: to free (as sugar or oil) from impurities or unwanted materialok i guess, i'm down with that. i produce the oil and dead skin cells so that was once apart of me so using this toner refines me or at least my face
4.) Deep cleans pores, if something can 'melt' away dirt, oil, and grab on to dead skin cells, then yes, it does this purpose, if only for the alcohol content in this product.
5.) Minimizes appearance of pores - nothing short of a true chemical peel and a dimethicone primer can diminish the appearance of pores. so no, but i do feel clean with just a few drops and a few wipes on my face ;-)
6.) control a large amount of sebum (oil control) - yeah, i would say so. i've been spending the weekend at home with no makeup just a clean face, this and my skin care and i'm not too oily even with a less than performing a/c (so mainet parin kahit naka aircon)
7.) Moisturize inside and outside - well, outside sure, by not being to alcohol-y but inside? i don't remember drinking this :P and really, if something is topical, then it shouldn't go inside your skin.
So i've broken down the konglish - but this kind of promise can be seen and found in western brands as well. it's alcohol or some sort of basic (as in base the opposite of acid) liquid and perfume the difference would be the percentage of it in the content. even rhoto eye drops are astringents.
Will I purchase the full size - yep, i found my gentle toner in the same range as the toner i had lost from the competition, nuff said.
Do i recommend? - yes, actually, i recommend this, to ladies and gents with oily and oily combination skin. i do not recommend anything stronger just because you think you're too oily. the more you make your skin dry??? the more oil you'd end up producing. so hinay hinay lang.
and for the price? a little goes a long way so your PhP798 for 500ml will go a long way. and since it's not too alcohol-y, it wouldn't immediately evaporate on you either.
i know this is a quite popular toner, i'm glad i finally get to try this LOL
