REVIEW: LAURA MERCIER FOUNDATION PRIMER : RADIANCE

I got this during the Laura Mercier event with Jeffrey Tasker that i attended and posted here.
I wanted to try something from this brand and since I follow Lisasz09 on youtube i wanted to try this primer if it will work on someone like me who's already yellow and is very fair.  Lisa has quite the pink and self tanned skin so we're totally different.
Another selling point of this primer is that you can put this on top of your makeup, yes on top of your primer and powder at the end of the day at that! something to add a glow to your skin.
the ingredients are below.
and other information
and of all her primers, this is the one with tint.  the rest are the usual semi opaque dimethicone-y type of primers and one cream type, afaik.
just look at that golden glow.  of course, it'll work better if my skin was you know, much warmer and deeper. but you can still see a golden finish
and like any primer, it covered my pores and fine lines well.
and provided a different glow than the usual pink or lavender.  and on me it kinda looked really natural.  yes, you can use this primer and just TOP it with mineral powder and you'd be all set.
i super LOVE THIS THING! i'm telling you know i will repurchase.  and i haven't even tried the on TOP  thing that Jeffrey said we can do.
LIKES:
  • the squeezey tube, those are just efficient for me and doesn't give the manufacturer an excuse to hike up the price (since there's no pump)
  • no scent
  • really easy to blend
  • the shine is NOT glittery chunky but it gives an IRIDESCENT glow to my skin, yes, the candle light look
  • doesn't cake up the powder i use on top of it
  • doesn't oxidize
  • IS ACTUALLY a good primer for my foundations
  • doesn't break me out
  • has some oil control, on a scale of 0-5 it's about 2.5
  • and for something supposed to be high end, at PhP1550 (it's actually US$32) so there is only an additional 200 pesos, so i really would rather buy in Rustan's
Dislikes:
  • NONE! (even the lack of spf can't dissuade me from liking this product)
Do I recommend - yes! regardless of your skin type or shade this should work for you!

I've always wanted to try Laura Mercier products. I think this one's a good buy! Will save for it. Sayang lang na walang SPF. But oh well, it's so good you'll over look that. Wahaha.

hehehe yep, may mga spf naman ang foundations at setting powder eh ;-) and at least walang wash out effect yung espasol look na maputing mukha pero maitim na leeg hahahaha :P

nope, this post was quite a while back. in the end i ended up going back to my good old reliable Korean brands and sometimes Lunasol or Kate (both by Kanebo). Western brands just oxidize on me, so sayang lang pera. but this one by laura is nice. it's their version of the dewy thing na sobrang hit na hit sa Asia ;-)
