REVIEW: L'OREAL REVITALIFT LASER 3X ANTI AGING TRANSFORMING EYE CREAM

DISCLAIMER:  I purchased this with my own money at 20% at Watson's Philippines.
Product description is below
The promises are below.
once opened, you / i have 6 months to go through the tube and finish it.
the ingredients are below
the product insert ^_^
the applicator
the product that gets quickly absorbed
the pictures below from my last eye cream review here which was published August 26, 2013, two months ago.  My right eye below.
my left eye from 2 months ago.
and AFTER two months of using the L'oreal Revitalift Laser 3x Anti Aging Transforming Eye Cream here's a pic of my left eye below
and i took a picture under a different light, natural light
 below is right eye, ahihihi
REBUTTAL:

  • could it be that the lines under my eye look shallower because the product is under my eye and the dimethicones are reflecting the light? true, but no matter how thick i pile it on, i still think my left eye's lines are much shallower now than when i first used this.
  • could it be the lighting in your loo and the automatic soft picture settings of your cam responsible for the shallower lines? - same camera settings that i always i used in the above pictures.  i took the photos above in natural and my bathroom light, under either light, i see my lines to be shallower now than 2 months ago.
  • am I more hydrated now than usual? - it's possible. i am taking vitamin c in different forms i.e. pomegranate juice more consistently now. this allows for more collagen formation which gets more water from the food i eat.  but that kind of change will not take effect that quickly, not in two months not for someone my age.
  • am i less stressed? - actually, quite the opposite. i'm busier now than i've ever been in the last three years at the office. so nope, i actually have more stress now.  which is also why i blog less consistently now.
can't think of any more rebuttals so you guys comment on what i've missed LOL
LIKES:
  • relatively inexpensive, the body shop woman eye cream is more expensive than this, i paid 700++ for this at a discounted rate (l'oreal is usually expensive, right?)
  • in a tube and not in some pot so it's somehow hygienic
  • the applicator - is tapered enough to apply at the cream at innermost corner of my eye
  • it is quite effective in making my lines look and feel shallower
  • i don't have much under eye darkness or puffiness but i do feel that my skin feels more supple under my eyes.
  • doesn't sting my eyes
  • nice mild scent
  • didn't break me out around the eyes and it's quite effective
  • available at watson's, department stores across the city
DISLIKES
  • i feel my eyes to be more crusty the next morning - in vernacular - mas marami ko muta the next day when i apply this compared to when i use the previous eye cream i reviewed.
I suggest this for anyone who work long hours, drink lots of coffee to use this.  don't wait for the lines you have to get deeper.  of course, nothing beats a good night's rest and a healthy diet to keep our youth lasting a while.  consider this though, the skin around they eyes is far from your heart, before blood and nutrients get to that part of your face it will be a long way aways.  so keep your skin healthy inside and out, i'll use this on the 'out' for a long time to come.
WILL I REPURCHASE - yes, i really think so.

whoa~ finally I found the eye cream that is worth to try! Please it's easily available in Malaysia! Don't have to go through the waiting of online shipping and whatnot! Thank so much for sharing! I'll definitely gonna post my review up when I tried for at least a month.

you're most welcome. this is definitely a must try ^_^

I also have the same picture as you show your nose, if a product dries too fast :(

Marge said...

yeh, definitely this dries up fast because it's an aerosol :'(

Mira said...

Oh, dear! I'm sorry to see those product didn't work out! I actually got samples over the counter the other day and still haven't tried it. Now I'm reluctant to try! :(
According to the BA, this line is meant to only moisturize your skin. Maybe it's too moisturizing and eventually lead to oily skin condition?
Here in Malaysia, a full size product ranges from RM100 to RM150 (about USD30 to USD45).
Anyway, hope those snail cream works! Take care!

Marge said...

yeh, even in the moisturizing part it didn't do much. i'm sticking to laneige skin care. the new za cosmetics line was nice, though (same company)

StacieNoelle said...

Good and honest review, I like it :) I heard other bloggers loving this product, maybe it depends on the skin type.

Woah, I've always dreamed about going to korea :) love the red coat

Marge said...

hello there ^_^ South Korea is an awesome country. you can't run out of things to do. thanks for the compliment on the red coat. yeah it was less than US$ when I bought it <3

Marge said...

ah well I don't care if I got it for free I'll share what happened to me if it happened to me. this and the clinique newly formulated dramatically different moisturizer just didn't anything to my skin yet so many online people are over the moon over it. I've never been and will never be that way lol. shiseido said, based on the literature they sent, that this ibuki line is good for all skin types. I guess I'm a mutant hehehe

Happy New Year!
Oh my gosh, I would love to be in Simply Kpop but first I must travel to Korea XD Anyway, I wish you the best for the year to come!

Marge said...

Hi Stacie ^_^
i think among the 5 (mnet countdown, music bank, music core, ingikayo and simply kpop) Simply Kpop is the easiest to get in to. at least from my experience. hopefully next time i can try to get in to mnet or mubank or mucore.
Hope you can visit Korea at least once in your lifetime, it's really a wonderful country to visit. to think, I've only been to Seoul, i wanna go to Busan next or Jeju ;-)
Happy new year to you, too ^_^

StacieNoelle said...

Where can we get Clio products in the Philippines? We (my mom and I) get our Clio products all the way from Singapore, I would love to know their locations here ^^

Marge said...

I purchased this vf21 cushion cc in Seoul but Clio / Peri Pera is available at SM Department stores makeup section

ceeeeeej said...

aww..2 shades lang :( pwede kaya samin na darker (nc30)?

StacieNoelle said...

Thanks :)

Vanessa Felix said...

Actually, to get the SPF and PA labelled on products, users must need to put 1/4 tsp minimum for the face. In the case of CC and BB creams, this amount is certainly too much, so sun protection from the CC and BB creams are almost always inadequate. I've blogged about it here (http://pas-sosyal.blogspot.com/2013/07/sunscreen-basics.html), with most references from the makeupalley sunscreen FAQ (http://www.makeupalley.com/account/vn.asp?u=SunscreenFAQ#apply.)

Marge said...

sorry i didn't see any eh. i know missha carries shades that are simlar to nc30 ^_^

Marge said...

i haven't found the right sun screen to use in combination with my bb or cc creams. when i apply sun screen and apply cc or bb creams on top, i get pimples. i use umbrellas for extra shade when i walk out in the sun

Marge said...

no worries ^_^

StacieNoelle said...

Oooh, interesting! My lips are always always always dry! It's annoying and ugly, honestly and my current lip balm (maybelline) doesn't do much. As in as soon as I remove the lip balm, my lips are dry again. Maybe I should try this ^^

Claire said...

Umm.. I think you go the product name wrong. It's "Oh My Goodness" not "Oh My God" :|

Marge said...

hahaha honga noh? dedma na lang lol

Marge said...

ah yeah at the very least this one by tm will stay longer on the lips :D

Scatterbraintures said...

Found out that another spray dry shampoo has a pump problem (The Balm). Maybe the powder is keeping the seal open. Some of the product escapes little by little daw kaya one or two uses lang yung sa The Balm. This one seems good.

I think Dove has a spray dry shampoo din na ok daw, but I haven't seen one here yet.

Scatterbraintures said...

baka sa pilipinas dapat 'oh my goodness' haha, the actual label did say oh my god. :P

Vanessa Felix said...

Aww, shucks. Hopefully you find a sunscreen that works well for you! If all else fails, at least you have some protection from your BB / CC cream. In case you're interested in some sunscreens, I've reviewed a couple of them here (http://pas-sosyal.blogspot.com).

Anyway, I enjoy your posts a lot.. great help when I'm fishing for makeup!

Marge said...

ey thanks. and thanks for the comments, i'm glad people still read posts. people are usually just want to read 140 characters on a tweet or go thru instagram nowadays lol

Aya Mabalot said...

Baka ito na ang sagot sa forever chapped na lips ko. I used to use Rose Salve kaso lagi namang Out of stock. Sobrang lamig dito recently so I think mas double yung pagkadry ng lips ko. If this is available sa pinas, I'll definitely give it a try pag uwi ko and I'll stock up if it's really good.

Marge said...

ay ang theBalm. i love that brand and part of the sales proceeds go to a fund to help abandoned pugs (yung sa states). di pa mahal. yung spray ah well...eh yung sa tony moly sumisingaw din naman. parang swertihan sa spring ng pump :(

Marge said...

on the canister is oh my god but oh my goodness on the english sticker thing lol

StacieNoelle said...

I heard that its hard to squeeze out the product from the tube, did you experience this as well?

Marge said...

oh yeah! i forgot about that. yeah, it sure is difficult to get the product out of the tube. let me add that to the dislikes portion. thanks for reminding me ;-)

StacieNoelle said...

I've been wanting to buy this particular product but the squeezing out thing is kind of turning me off. Is it still sulit even if that happens?

RebelSweetHrt said...

Ganda mo teh! At yes, effort kung effort ang pag-pindot! Tutubuan tayo ng muscle sa daliri, lol. :)

Marge said...

it's still worth it in my opinion. and i wouldn't put it in a pot, it'll stay hygienic that way. ^_^

Marge said...

hahaha muntik ko na masuntok monitor ko sa office kaka taktak ng tube nito LOL patay sa salary deduction kung saka sakali hehehe

StacieNoelle said...

thanks :)

Scatterbraintures said...

Matte ba 'kamo? Will check this out.

StacieNoelle said...

Surprised to know that they are in Beauty Bar too Sadly they haven't arrived in Beauty Bar Lucky Chinatown yet

StacieNoelle said...

Hi! I bought the one in #2 earlier today (kasi sawing palad sa SJ-M event ng TonyMoly, nagwaldas ng pera sa Etude XD) They didn't have this shade nor #8.

Marge said...

yep, matte yan ^_^ i wanna get nga the coral and hot pink shades eh LOL

Marge said...

you're welcome ^_^

Marge said...

i'm sorry to hear that. it could be at the plains and prints branch of sm moa?

Marge said...

awww may mga branch na low ang traffic like the one in greenbelt 3, sa tapat ng powerbooks or the eastwood branch. i'm sorry to hear na sawing palad ka sa sj-m fan sign :'(

StacieNoelle said...

It's fine. Good thing is, I still have 3000 php :) Except I spent around 500 na. XD

StacieNoelle said...

I saw it in plains and prints moa :) it's there and I was awestruck when I saw it last time like "woah it already arrived!" because that was around the time when there were a lot of blog posts about its launch :) The colors are really pretty!

StacieNoelle said...

Oooh interesting :) Is snail mucus safe to use for teens (like myself)? Will it be too nourishing?(or is there really such thing as too nourishing?)

Marge said...

for acne on teens, i still recommend that the patient visit his / her pediatrician then dermatologist. there can be cases of over-nourishment as in the case of childhood and teenage obesity. however, in general when the body is in relatively good health, it excretes and disposes of unwanted / un-needed / excess material.
I always recommend snail cream as an alternative skin regimen as it works for me and my hormonal / monthly break out while being a very good moisturizer for both day and night. with just one product to apply i have my anti pimple, anti wrinkle, anti darkening and moisturizer, serum, essence in one hehehe. no mess no layers, no memorizing what layer comes first hahaha

Marge said...

yeah, i try not to go with the flow on blog posts. i got this feedback from my office mate one time. 'hayst, pare pareho naman mga sinasabi ng mga ito!'. so i'm the one blogger that hardly attends those events unless KPOP related. if these brands send me their stuff and not give me a deadline then i will blog about it when i want or when i have the time LOL.

Marge said...

well, it's a good purchase, i really like it, way better than that nyx stuff LOL

StacieNoelle said...

Thanks for that info :) I actually have normal-dry skin unlike most people around my age who oil up a lot so I've been thinking of buying a thicker and more moisturizing moisturizer than the one I'm using now.
Yes! The reason why I don't want to expand my skincare routine is because I can't memorize the proper steps XD

StacieNoelle said...

Woah, so expensive! But it looks pretty and subtle. :) I hope that Banila Co. will be available in the Philippines soon! I wanna try their famous cc cream eh

Marge said...

yeh, ikr, for my trouble i got a couple of sachets of cc cream and a tax refund at the airport on the way back to manila hahaha. true, i like the quality of the blush (not necessarily the color) it's almost like one of my lunasol blushes, well almost.hehehe

Marge said...

you're most welcome. yep, some people have two sets of skin care, one for summer and one set for seasons like what we're having, dry and cold seasons (or winter in countries with winter)

StacieNoelle said...

Pretty <3 I really wish someone brings them here in the Philippines! :) I heard that they also release eyeshadow palettes which is rare for Korean cosmetics companies :)

StacieNoelle said...

Oooh~ I haven't tried a lot of eyeshadows so I can't compare yet XD I'm currently satisfied with essence nga eh >.<

StacieNoelle said...

it rubs off when wet pala :( My eyes have weak double-eyelids so yeah, my eyelashes rub the lash line. This will not probably work for me (like the O meye eyeliner or something like that from Etude.). Is it smudgeproof when dry?

Kanou said...

What are the best snail products you've tried so far?

StacieNoelle said...

the price is a turn off :(
Can you like get all the pieces of gold and make something out of it? XD Sorry, I know that it's not enough but I think that will be better than to just let the gold pieces fall. It doesn't get absorbed by the skin anyway :D
I've been thinking of getting my mom a snail cream for some time now, actually. :) What is the cheapest yet still effective and locally available snail cream you know? Thanks

Marge said...

the original tony moly snail cream serum that i mentioned above and the very first snail cream i tried from the skin shop that i reviewed here that was almost perfect including the packaging ^_^

Marge said...

it doesn't fall off my skin it eventually gets absorbed but just by the uppermost layer of our skin, the stratum corneum. only gold nanoparticles go down deep into our skin down t the hair follicles. hehehe nope the gold in here is not enough to make even a stud for a piercing hahaha.
but yeah, it's something to save up for because it's a good gift ^_^ i'm not sure what the cheapest is in the market, try the skin shop snail cream baka meron pa sa watson's area or ask kkochipida if she carries that ;-)

Kanou said...

You should try Mizon Snail Cream and Eye cream. Its effective for me and the best part is, its very cheap compared to its competitors. I'll also try what you recommended when I save up some money :P

StacieNoelle said...

Super wild idea lang :P
try ko yung the skin shop :)

Kanou said...

Oh, I forgot to mention that I've also tried Elisha Coy snail cream and its also effective, but a bit expensive. My first and worst snail experience so far is It's Skin snail serum, it gave me horrible break-outs. Good thing I didn't give up and tried other snail products that worked well on me :)

Marge said...

ooohh i like Elisha Coy, too. true it's on the expensive side. but it worked for me while i used it ^_^ my goodness, i just didn't like it's skin snail cream. i didn't get to try the serum. but the scent/fragrance used in the it's skin snail cream was just too strong that it made me sneeze right after i apply it on my face so i had to give it away. it was so strong that my mom thought it was a perfume lotion lol

Marge said...

sana andyan pa sa dept store ng sm or order online na lang siguro ^_^

Marge said...

i've heard about Mizon, but their endorsers aren't popular enough for me to invest in something expensive like snail cream. i generally just have a few rules on this blog, and they are: the brands i blog about are kpop idol or japanese idol endorsed, a popular korean brand, and if the brand or online seller asks me nicely to try a product they send me. oh well ;-)

사랑 felice said...

hi,,, nice blog... i was there too... but u dont have any zhoumi photos??? tnx...

Marge said...

awww sorry, just the one with Henry, and I was afraid to get scolded if i brought out my cam :'(

StacieNoelle said...

Ohhh~ Nice nice. I'm fairly good in calligraphy ;) But I haven't perfected the art of eyelining yet

JhoAnne Luna said...

hello :) between faceshop cc cream and laneige which is better in terms of oil control and lasting power esp. if paired with a foundation of your choice :).

Marge said...

hi JhoAnne, there are two kinds of the face shop cc creams, i only go to try the variant packaged in a compact. That can be worn alone and if you apply a foundation over it, you may look too made up or have a photo shoot.
the laneige cc cream is such that it's light enough for it to be a good base for my foundations and on a good day (when i'm not sleep deprived) it can stand alone, but looks better with a medium to full coverage powder or powder/foundation. i hope i answered you? LOL both cc creams i have from the face and laneige are just both wonderful ;-)

Marge said...

awww, it gets easier after a little while ;-) i now just use liquid liner and have ditched pencil liners altogether LOL
i only review pencil liners when i get them as gifts or reviews hahahah that's how i've turned my back on pencil liners LMAO :P

JhoAnne Luna said...

yup. Thanks Ms. Marge :)

JhoAnne Luna said...

Thanks Marge :) By the way, yung peach pink na shade mas recommended ba sya sa mga pink toned skin or pwede din kaya sya sa yellow tone?

Marge said...

the Korean sales girl in Myeongdong suggested this beige one for me. and when i saw this in trinoma, the laneige sales girl said the pink one is for very very fair women tipong lucy torres na puti

JhoAnne Luna said...

Thanks Marge. Nagtry ako magvisit sa Laneige Robinsons Galleria and SM Megamall. Medyo naguluhan ako sa recommendation both shades were recommended to me. Pero ang tinry ko lang is yung beige :)

Marge said...

hehehe, well, all i know is that the Korean sales lady said the beige will work better for me LOL, di ako sing puti ni Lucy Torres, may pagka yellow ako because of my 1/4 Chinese blood ;-)

StacieNoelle said...

I really want to have Mamonde here in the Philippines but I think that it's too expensive (kind of high-end daw?) and they probably can't see Philippines as a nice market for this one :(

The orange one looks really nice :)

Marge said...

the price range of mamonde is a little like tony moly's and too cool for school and possibly the face shop's.
it's amore pacific same as etude and laneige so that may be a reason why mamonde isn't here? or possibly the name is crazy like the pastry hehehe

StacieNoelle said...

Oooh~ is that so? :D
Maybe it's just not famous enough then. Koreans are really... creative with brand names.

Rae said...

It's about time they expand the shade range of the sun protection foundation line.

I'm an O60 on most shades and I couldn't find a match with the uv line. I picked up the white lucent sunblock na lang.

Rae said...

Sana at least 2% man lang yung salicylic acid. Yun ata yung enough ratio to make it effective. Ok lang siguro na nasa bandang dulo sya? Dahil 2%? I don't know. At times like these, I wish chemist ako.

Anyway, I want this. Merong 4% BHA foam cleanser yung Paula's Choice, pero parang di available sa Pilipinas, I think this is an ok alternative.

Marge said...

ah the white lucent, i'm a fan of the mask that thing really works ^_^ i agree with you on shades from these Asian brands, i'm glad the Shiseido is more aware of their market [that isn't just the fair and very fair] hopefully bb creams will follow suit ^_^

Marge said...

yep, sa states lang yung Paula's choice...ah well, masabi lang may salicylic acid yung product? at least it cleans well hahaha

Jimmy Johns said...

I suggest you have a look at products made from the Anti-Aging Collagen Cream. It contains ingredients to act as anti wrinkle and anti aging cream, at the same time stimulates skin regeneration and replenish daily moisture loss. Meriance is rich in Amino Acids and minerals, stimulating skin rejuvenation with the effect of a smooth, soft and healthy skin.

Dawn said...

I definitely agree with your review. I'm in-love with this brush cleaner! <3

Marge said...

and it doesn't shed my brushes! ^_^
