FACE OF THE WEEK WITH ELLANA MINERALS

Some of you may have noticed that there has been a big come back and a big restyling of one of our most darling Filipino brands, Ellana Minerals.  Some of you may also remember that I almost started blogging with this brand because I was looking for an Asian brand that could do as well as Bare Minerals.
Once upon a time Ellana Minerals could be had in baggy pouches
but that never stopped me naman from using ellana minerals on my eyes and cheeks.
But guess what? the makeover brand got herself a makeover!  She is now offering pressed mineral makeup.  She's still offering her usual loose powder. She also has had a packaging makeover, too!  All the illustrations are done by a Soleil Ignacio and is very similar to a brand that is familiar to this blog, too, and it is below.
The Balm is a brand that is very ecology conscious and they want some of their proceeds to to go to a pug [yes, the dog breed].  Because of this they found a very innovative way of packaging their products. And their packaging are in stiff cartons with magnets to keep it closed.  And there are mirrors in these carton compacts!Ellana minerals pressed products are packaged the same way and with equally beautiful illustrations!  I'm an NC15 with mac liquid foundations and the Ellana Mineral equivalent of this is French vanilla latte.
I was also sent a lip and cheek color in light pink.
and I think they read my blog because they also sent me a blush / bronzer duo and i love love love Ellana mineral blushes just head on over to my tags and you'll see that i've tried most of their blushes that compliment my skin type ;-)
I am very familiar with the mineral shadow/liner beloved, and its part of this quad shadow pallet ;-)  The rest are intense, wish and hush.
What I do is combine the dark gray and darker beige and use that for my brows, and use the rest for eye shadows as a gradient.
These colors are really school and office appropriate.
The lip and cheek color in light pink is a two-fer!  below is a pic of me using it as a blush and my lippie for the day.  it's a bit lasting since anyway i work mainly in an office with the aircon always on.  While it gives some color to my lips and didn't dry my lips out and looked very natural and made look healthy ^_^
Do check out their website here.  For a certain amount they can do cash on delivery.  But the Ellana's products are also available in malls at The Ramp branches in Trinoma and Shangri La.  As always, I recommend Ellana Mineral makeup for our office girl on a budget and our college young ladies on allowance.  The kind of makeup Ellana provides is skin and wallet friendly.  It has lasting coverage and do not break me out.  I'm liking this new packaging.  The foundation provides the same coverage as the loose powder.  The pressed makeup solves the usual complaint people have against mineral makeup.  So yes, it is now travel friendly and isn't messy at at all!
So what you think?
