In Metro Manila, no matter what you do, pollution, stress, fast food, the wrong toothpaste, hormonal imbalances and lack of sleep will lead your skin to have breakouts.  They are painful, stinging and itchy and can cause hardship annoyance.  There are many myths and old-wives tales.  Sabi ni Mommy, soap and water lang maka-tuyo ng tighyawat mo” [“All you need is to wash it soap and water”] to “Huwag mo na pansinin lalong lalaki” [“Don’t mind it otherwise it’ll grow much bigger!”].  We’ve tried just about everything except peel our very skins! There are many cure alls in the market.  We’ve even tried toothpaste, I tried that, all I did was end up burning my skin L  During my day it was a famous astringent endorsed by a movie legend was what most of my ate’s used to dry out their zits.  Nowadays our options are almost limitless from the over the counter to having your own personal line of medication advised by a derma.   Recently though, Doctor Belo and her medical group has once again released a line of anti pimple skin care to take care of the Filipina skin in Philippine weather with the power of bee venom.
Product brief from the Belo Group:

Thus I start using the entire line by using the AcnePro Pimple – Fighting Gel Face Wash
Everyday, at least twice a day, makeup or no, we wash our face.  It’s almost instinctive as soon as we get up from bed.  Besides it really shows if you don’t wash your face in the morning, don’t it?  And even for lunch, after P.E. it’s really hard not to wash even just your face just to freshen up!  This facial wash you can bring with you in your gym bag, even if you accidentally squeeze it out of the tube the facial was is a clear gel and won’t spread on your stuff with milky white muck.  It smells quite soapy yet mild which I appreciate.  So yeah it doesn’t smell like grandma’s perfume J It is not as foamy as other facial washes though.
The product description and the ingredients are below in the pictures.  The bee venom is a major part of the ingredient list.  This bee venom is the major ingredient in this line to help clear but not dry out your skin.
Product brief from the Belo Group:
“Step 2: Tone with AcnePro Treatment Toner
• Unclogs congested pores & dries up pimples
• Reduces inflammation and red marks
• Soothes skin from irritation
• Oil-free
• Fragrance-free
• Hypoallergenic
• Non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores)”
The toner retails at PhP79.75”
The toner has a slight scent of denatured ethyl alcohol it does sting upon initial application of pimples. The toner also dries up pretty quickly so the drying stinging sensation does not last.  What I like about these toners is that you can also use these on simple cuts and scrapes.  I use some of these toners to simple cuts because they have alcohol anyway.  The product description is also on the bottle and the ingredients are listed with bee venom as one of the top on the ingredient list.
After rinsing off the facial wash a cotton ball with a good amount of the toner to wipe across my face is the next step.  I often warn people about using products that contain ethyl alcohol frequently on their skin. I will continue to do so.  But if you feel that the use of a product whose major component is ethyl alcohol is not drying on your skin, then this is the gentle toner for you.  This step is the step that makes my skin feel squeaky clean.
I do feel a sting when swabbing over the cotton bud or cotton ball over my pimples new or old.   This pain does not last.

And for really rough days where you develop pimples you can spot treat them with Acne Pro Pimple Gel:
“Step 3: Repair with AcnePro Pimple Gel
• Dries up pimples
• Calms inflammation while promoting wound-healing & anti-bacterial action
• Lightens blemishes that pimples leave behind
• Oil-free
• Fragrance-free
• Hypoallergenic
• Non-comedogenic”
Retails for PhP149.75
This one comes in a box where you can also see the product description and where the ingredients are listed.
And much like the facial wash this spot treatment is also a clear gel.
Every month I do develop pimples every month due to my period.  This month I got one at my left temple.  As luck would have it.  I’d get these breakouts in these outlying areas right at the tips or areas that you don’t normally apply a decent amount of skin care.  L
I must admit, this is an overnight pimple.  You know the type, the ones that suddenly erupt overnight?  Well unlike the toner, applying the pimple gel does not sting.  The pimple gel dries and gets absorbed by my skin in less than a minute.  I believe that my pimple as shown in my picture was already ‘ripe’ and is already easy enough to open with just mild touch upon applying the AcnePro Pimple Gel.   Given this fact, this allowed the ingredients of the AcnePro Pimple Gel worked well in and around my wound and dried my pimple overnight.  Even I was skeptical, but results do not lie
A pimple’s life cycle is pretty long and it takes quite sometime before the ‘eye’ develops and eventually pops out or is absorbed by our skin’s inflammatory process to clear out the cause of the pimple.  I suggest taking the advice to heart, do not pop zits.  You will just end up infecting them L  So far and based on my experience, with the bee venom and or ethyl alcohol, the Belo AcnePro Pimple Care line has helped my skin heal itself.  It is quite effective in drying out my gross zits.  For the price, availability and effectivity, I highly recommend the AcnePro Pimple-Fighting Gel Face Wash and the AcnePro Pimple Gel to ladies and gentlemen with acne or a few pimples. Say GOODBYE PIMPY!
