FOUNDATION OF THE WEEK: MUST TRY FOR PROM - ETUDE HOUSE STAY UP FOUNDATION PURE

Due to personal reasons that I had no control over, I could not write, meaning blog for a long time.  But now I have to push myself to write and blog again.
So what better way to start blogging again but with an Etude House post!
Some of you may recall that I've tried out the Beige variant of this Stay Up Foundation
and there are three other variants or shades of the Stay Up Foundation Line.
The upside down bottle/tube is always convenient for hygiene and travel.  Because most foundations come in a glass bottle, at least these Stay Up Foundations are in a plastic container and won't easily break when traveling and is lighter than glass bottles so it's convenient for your hand carry on the airplane.
the ingredients are below

Swatches
Unblended and blended out
Good coverage, wouldn't you say? It is after all, a foundation.  But this pure version is almost like the skin tone of my neck and kinda looks like I used a filter on these pictures but I assure you, I have not used any filters on the pictures below.
and me with lipstick and blush and a little eye liner to complete the look.
STAY UP FOUNDATION SPF 30 PA+++ (PHP 778.00)
For a foundation that stays up with you for a whole day date, try Etude’s new line of foundation for
a healthy and flawless skin. It contains sea flower emelass and raffinose which helps contain
moisture, while the coconut seed butter keeps skin glowing and vital.
Shades:
01 Pure
02 Rosy
03 Ivory
04 Beige
05 Sand
Likes:
  • the packaging - very convenient, light weight, can pass through customs since it's less than 100ml, hygienic, can dispense the right amount based on how much you squeeze the bottle. the plastic used on these bottle is actually squeezable
  • the scent - very mild
  • doesn't cake up
  • doesn't crack in the middle of the day
  • doesn't need retouching
  • gives that air brushed look in pictures
  • medium to full coverage
  • good coverage on the pores around my nose and cheek
  • it does what it says, stay up, so it's lasting.  it lasts all day
  • it's cheaper than revlon colorstay, a foundation that i really loved a long time ago
  • but unlike the colorstay, this is easier to remove from my face
Dislikes:
  • not as easy to blend as a bb cream
  • gave me 1 zit
  • oil control isn't too great just like the beige one
I really like the effect that the foundation gave me.  Like an airbrushed look.  It's great for photo's, prom dates, graduation and OJT interviews for that experience our newly graduates need to land good jobs!

I haven't tried any korean foundation yet,

Nice, practically packaged foundation with SPF. I found a pretty good match when I swatched on my jaw. I just wish the price would be slightly lower. That, or I'll wait for the next sale. :p

Hi there, Kei, basically all foundations are the same, it generally boils down to their ingredients, which may or may not suit your skin type, shade availability/variety, pricing, and brand preference. I hope my reviews on Korean products help you in your first purchase :-)

or use your etude house points to get a discount ;-)

Haha. Yes, but probably with SM Advantage. I end up buying all my Etude House from SM Dept. Stores instead, but it's sad that they don't carry all the products in the dept. store counters. I wanted the Sparkling Toc!s Gel, but they didn't have it. :(
